Malabar Hill
Having been front and centre in the art world over the last couple of years, the home of this 30-something curator was both a showcase of the art she had collected over the years and her sanctuary. Located in a 70-year-old building in Mumbai, whose mosaic flooring and panelled windows nod to the area’s heritage and history. I was working at CollectiveProject then, and we crafted a timeless, nostalgic, yet modern home shaped by bespoke design details and a tone-rich, assured palette. Existing French windows draw plenty of natural light into the living space, helping the 1800 sq. ft apartment appear incredibly spacious despite its low ceilings and intimately scaled rooms. A pocket door opens the kitchen to a cosy living-dining pocket, expanding the entertainment area. The art, objects and furniture featured throughout the home are sourced from various locations, from auctions, travel, and vintage markets, adding an eclectic, personal feel to the interiors. Design Studio: CollectiveProject, and I led this project during my time there.
